Same-day rekeying for Pompano Beach homes, condos, townhomes, rentals and small businesses, usually done in under an hour. Owner-operated, licensed & insured, 9 AM–7 PM, 7 days a week.
Inside most door locks is a short row of spring-loaded pins, and your key pushes each one to just the right height. To rekey, we pull the cylinder, replace those pins with a new set cut to match a new key, and put it back. Your lock stays on the door; only the key that opens it changes.
The part that matters to you: every old key stops working. The spares in the kitchen drawer, the copy a past renter never returned, the key the contractor borrowed — none of them will open the door again, and you walk away with a fresh set.
It is quick, it costs a fraction of new hardware, and for most Pompano Beach houses and condos it is the smart move. In the same visit we can usually set every door in the home to work on one key.
Almost every rekey call we take in Pompano Beach falls into one of these six situations. Chances are yours is here.
The number one reason. Sellers, past tenants, real estate agents, cleaners and repair people may all still have a key. After a rekey, only the keys handed to you at closing will open your doors.
A routine step for Pompano landlords and property managers between tenants, and far cheaper than new locks on every door. Our Florida landlord rekeying guide covers the rules and best practices.
Lost on the beach near the pier, left behind on a boat at the marina, or dropped somewhere along Atlantic Boulevard. If a key could ever be tied to your address, a rekey is inexpensive peace of mind.
An old roommate, a pet sitter, a handyman who copied a key, a former caregiver or an ex. Rekeying ends their access quietly, with no awkward request to hand anything back.
Front door, side door, garage, lanai slider lock and the utility closet, each on its own key. Locks that share a keyway can be keyed alike, so a single key opens every door you choose.
Pompano Beach is full of seasonal residents, from the oceanfront condos along A1A to the 55+ communities like Palm Aire and Leisureville. Plenty of owners rekey before heading north or between rental guests so no past visitor can get back in. We work around your travel and check-in dates.
A locksmith who always pushes “replace it” is usually trying to sell hardware. For most doors, rekeying is the better value — not always, though, and we will tell you straight which one your door actually needs.
Plenty of Pompano Beach homes end up with a combination: rekey the locks that are in good shape and replace the one tired deadbolt. That is perfectly normal, and either way every door can go on one key.
Close to the water, salt air wears locks down fast, and many older homes east of Dixie Highway still have hardware from decades ago. Some of those cylinders rekey easily and some are past their prime; we take a look first, then quote.
Palm Aire, Leisureville and many oceanfront condo buildings have rules about unit keys, and some keep a master key in the office. A quick word with management before we begin keeps everyone on the same page.
Newer and renovated homes in Cresthaven, Harbor Village and west of I-95 often have multipoint locks on impact entry and French doors. Most of them can be rekeyed; they just take a bit more time than a standard deadbolt.
Doors that were added or swapped over the years rarely match. Many Kwikset-family and Schlage-family locks can be keyed alike, and we will let you know up front if a door cannot be included.
What sets the price: the number of cylinders, whether they are the same brand, any multipoint or mortise locks, and how old the hardware is. You get an exact quote before we start, and a typical Pompano home is finished in under an hour.
We rekey all around the area, including Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Coconut Creek, Margate, Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale.

"The service was excellent. Came within a few hours of my request and fixed a few other issues that I had with my doors besides the lock. Highly recommend!"

Your lock stays where it is. We take out the cylinder, reset the pins to a new combination and reinstall it. After that the old keys are useless, and you get new keys that work.
You keep the hardware you have and only pay to change the key. Replacing makes more sense when a lock is worn, damaged or poor quality, and we will tell you which one applies.
Yes — put it near the top of your list. Sellers, renters, agents and contractors may still have keys that work. A typical home or condo takes under an hour, and afterward only the keys you got at closing will open the doors.
Usually, as long as the locks share a compatible keyway, which most Kwikset-family and Schlage-family locks do. If one door has a different style of lock, we will tell you whether it can match the others.
A typical Pompano Beach home or condo with three to five cylinders is usually done in under an hour. Bigger homes, mortise or multipoint locks and very old hardware take a little longer.
Very rarely, because the lock looks identical afterward. Associations care about how the door looks, not which key fits it. If your building keeps a master key on file, let the office know first.
Usually. Many Pompano homes, especially renovated and newer ones, have multipoint locks on impact and French doors that rekey fine with a little extra time. Text us a photo and we will confirm before we head out.
For most landlords, yes — it is the standard step between tenants. If a lock is worn out or damaged, we can replace it on the same visit. Either way, your next tenant gets keys nobody else has.
