- Forcing the door. A bent frame or a cracked jamb turns a small bill into a carpentry job
- Calling a number with no local address and a price that sounds too good — that is the classic bait-and-switch setup
One more thing worth saying plainly: if a key is missing rather than sitting on your kitchen counter, the lockout is only half the problem. Ask about rekeying while we are already there — it is much cheaper as part of the same visit than as a second call next week.

Can you get me back into my house in Boca Raton without breaking anything?
Almost always. We open the unit door. Building fobs, garage remotes and common-area access are controlled by your association or its management company, not by a locksmith, so those have to come from the office. If you are locked out of the building itself, start with the front desk or the property manager.
Should I just take the door off its hinges or break a window?
No. A broken window in Boca costs several times a lockout call, and impact glass costs far more than that. Hinge pins on almost every modern exterior door are on the inside, so that route does not work either. Worst case, a damaged lock is replaced at a fraction of what a door or a window repair runs.
Can you open a sliding glass door or a French door?
