Owner-operated residential lockout service for Boynton Beach houses, condos, villas, townhomes and rentals. Non-destructive entry, same-day appointments, 9 AM–7 PM, 7 days a week. Licensed & insured, with the price agreed first.
It happens to the most careful people: the door clicks shut while you walk the dog, the keys stay on the kitchen counter, or the keypad on a smart lock goes dark. Here is how a house lockout call goes from start to finish, so nothing about it is a surprise.
Joe answers the phone and Joe comes to the door. No call center, no subcontractor you have never heard of, and no handoff. Boynton is a straight run up from our Boca Raton base, so he can give you an honest arrival time on that first call.
Knob, deadbolt, keypad, impact door, French doors or a slider? The door decides the method and the tools we bring along. If you can, text a photo of the lock and the front of the door — it often saves real time once we arrive.
You hear the price and the arrival time before we set off. No low teaser number that climbs once we are standing at the door, and if the job on site is different from what you described, we pause and ask before doing anything more.
Photo ID plus something that links you to the address: a lease, a deed, a utility bill or a record from the HOA or condo office. Owners, renters and short-term hosts are all fine. This step is what keeps a locksmith from opening someone else’s home for a stranger.
Picking and bypass come first, and when they are done right the lock keeps working exactly as before. Drilling is a last resort for a lock that has genuinely failed, and if it comes to that, you hear about it before it happens.
If the lock itself is what failed, we can usually repair or replace it on the same visit, so you are not standing outside again next week. If the door simply shut behind you, there is nothing more to do than walk back in.
Boynton Beach covers a lot of ground, from older block homes east of I-95 to brand-new gated communities out west, and the door in front of you decides how a lockout is handled. These are the types we run into most.
The neighborhoods off Federal Highway, Seacrest Boulevard and around downtown have plenty of homes built decades ago, often with older knob sets, aging deadbolts and wood or metal doors that have been painted over more than once. They take patience and the right tools, and parts are easier to find than most people expect.
Along the Intracoastal, in Leisureville and in the big west Boynton communities, unit doors usually have a deadbolt plus a handle set, and many associations have their own rules about keys and entry. We open your unit door; building fobs, gate remotes and common-area doors are handled by the association.
Newer construction and remodeled homes all over Boynton use multipoint hardware that throws bolts into the frame at several points. It is excellent security and it opens very differently from a plain deadbolt, so let us know what you have when you call.
A flat battery is the most common “smart lock lockout” we see. Many keypad locks have a hidden key cylinder or a terminal for an outside battery, so the fix often takes minutes and the lock goes on working afterward.
A large part of Boynton Beach sits behind a gate, especially west of Military Trail, and an uninformed gatehouse is the most common reason a lockout runs long. Call ahead and add us to the visitor list, and the rest is simple.
Ocean Avenue, the marina district, the Town Square area, the neighborhoods off Seacrest and Federal Highway, and the condos along the Intracoastal. Apartments, condos, rentals and older single-family homes.
Leisureville, the Meadows, Quantum Park and the communities between Congress Avenue and Military Trail, from Hypoluxo Road down to Woolbright. A mix of villas, townhomes, apartments and single-family homes.
The Valencia communities, Canyon Lakes and Canyon Trails, Aberdeen, Hunters Run and the neighborhoods off Lyons, Jog and Hagen Ranch Roads. Mostly gated, with a lot of newer construction and plenty of seasonal residents.
Boynton has a lot of snowbird homes and rental units, and a lockout is a normal part of move-in week or a season changeover. If you manage rentals in the area, ask about our landlord and turnover services.
One more thing worth saying plainly: if a key is lost rather than sitting on the counter inside, the lockout is only half the problem. Whoever finds that key can let themselves in. Ask us about rekeying on the same visit, so the missing key stops working for good.
Locked out just outside Boynton? We also cover Delray Beach, Lantana, Lake Worth, Greenacres, Wellington and Boca Raton.
"Joe came out and was excellent. Very reliable. Called me right away. Came at time he estimated. Highly recommend. Did a great job."
"Imagine closing on a new home, and then going to open it for the first time and the lock is busted! I called Joe at PBC Locksmith, and he said he could be there in a half hour! He showed up just on time, was super friendly and really knowledgeable!"
"Excellent service, excellent customer service! I'm not one to leave reviews often, but after Joe left I feel i have to. Joe is very professional, very fast and his rates are reasonable. He arrived super fast after we called him, and he fixed our lock just as fast."

Almost always. Picking and bypass are the first choice and leave the lock working normally. Drilling is only for a lock that has truly failed, and you will hear about it before we do it.
Photo ID plus something that ties you to the address: a lease, a deed, a utility bill or a record from the HOA or condo office. Owners, renters and vacation-rental hosts are all fine. If your ID is locked inside too, tell us on the phone and we will work out another way to confirm it.
Boynton is a straight drive up from our Boca Raton base, and Joe gives you a specific arrival time when you call. We do not take overnight calls; our hours are 9 AM to 7 PM, seven days a week.
Only if the gatehouse has not been told. The Valencia communities, Canyon Lakes, Aberdeen, Hunters Run and most other west Boynton communities clear every visitor. Call the gate with our name and arrival time when you call us, and there is nothing else to wait for.
We open the unit door. Building fobs, gate remotes, garage openers and common-area doors belong to the association, so those come from your property manager or the condo office.
No. A broken window costs several times what a lockout call does, and impact glass takes a long time to replace. Pulling hinge pins can ruin a modern exterior door and frame. Calling us is almost always the cheaper way back in.
Often, though they take longer than a front door. Sliders and French doors use different latches and sometimes a second lock, so describe what you have when you call and we will tell you honestly what to expect.
It is worth considering, especially if you just moved in, a tenant just moved out, or the missing key could turn up in someone else’s hands. Rekeying while we are already there is quick, and every old key stops working that same day.
