Proof You Can Be There
Before I open any business door, I need to know you are authorized. A driver's license plus something that ties you to the business works: a lease, a business card, a utility bill, or the owner or property manager on the phone. It protects you as much as anyone.
Getting You Back In
I always try non-destructive entry first. Most commercial locks can be picked or bypassed without damage. If a door truly has to be drilled, I explain why and give you the price before I touch it, and I replace the cylinder on the same visit so you can lock up that night.
Lost Keys or an Employee Who Left
If the lockout happened because keys were lost or someone left with a set, the old keys are still out there. Rekeying makes them stop working. For businesses with several doors and people, a master key system lets each person open only what they need.
Fix the Cause
Lockouts often happen because a lock is failing: a storefront deadlock that sticks, a closer that slams, or a keypad running out of battery. A mechanical keypad needs no batteries and no keys, which is why many of my commercial customers switch. I also service panic bars and exit devices.
